Google has expanded Shopping Ads to Gmail
Google has notified advertisers that standard Shopping campaigns will reach Gmail users that will increase their product visibility and higher return-on-investment.
In an email sent out to Google Ads advertisers, the company says shopping ads will appear on Gmail starting on from 4th March 2020. This includes both Showcase Shopping ads and Product Shopping ads.
As soon as the Shopping ads are rolled out to Gmail, data will be reported under the Google Display Network whereas Standard Shopping campaigns will be automatically enabled to run on Gmail, as long as the campaigns are opted into “Gmail, YouTube, and Discover.”
From 4th March 2020 onwards, advertisers can ensure their Shopping campaigns are eligible to serve on Gmail by following the steps below:
- Sign in to Google Ads
- Select a standard Shopping campaign under the Campaigns tab
- Click the Settings tab
- Under “Networks,” look for a checkbox next to “Gmail, YouTube, and Discover.”
Now, if the box is checked, then all your Shopping campaigns are eligible to display on Gmail. Other than that, there is no further action needed on your behalf if you are the advertiser.
